Went to the Pools

30 September
Took Jason down to the pools. He has not been swimming in ages due to his colds. The grandparents and Dad looked after Kelsey at the poolside while I was in the water with Jason. He just loved it and did not want to get out about and hour later. Can't wait to take little Kelsey swimming in the summertime.

The Great Pram Stroll

27 September
Took Kids to the Great Pram Stroll at western springs. Kelsey slept most of the way on the walk, but Mr J was up to his tricks of walking everywhere except where you want him to. It took a long time to walk around the park with him but he enjoyed himself. The best part was getting a "tatoo" on his arm. He thought that was the greatest. Near the end I had to feed Kelsey so she was awake for the finnish. We did not stay for the spot prizes as it was aready past Jason's nap time. He fell asleep in the car on the way home. In the afternoon he had fun playing with the helium filled ballons from the pram stroll. Kelsey was watching them on the roof. They were great fun.

Sitting on Dad's knee

26 September
Really bad as can't remember what happened now.

Coffee Group - Kelsey & Liam

25 September
Jason at Nanny Lynne. Kelsey and I went to coffee group. It was great she was well behaved. The photo is of Kelsey and Liam. Liam is about 4 months older than Kelsey, but he is a big boy.
Enjoyed the rest of the afternoon before collecting Jason.

First time in the big bath

24 September
Jason put his foot in the toilet bowl for the first time today. He was climbing on the bowl to press the flush button. I did not see it happen but he came and informed me he was “wet”. I asked what’s wet and he lifted his foot which had a very wet slipper on it. It was very cute and quite funny. Gamma, Charlie the kids and I went for a walk to the Shell garage to get a newspaper this morning. Kelsey was well behaved and fell asleep in her capsule and Jason walked/ran most of the way. This afternoon I did little baby exercises with Kelsey and Jason had a fun time with Gamma and Charlie. This evening Kelsey had her first Big bath with Mom. She was smiling away. Jason is coping a lot of words now and today we had monkey and mushroom amongst others.

Kelsey and Charlie watching racing

23 September
Jason built a very impressive tall tower from blocks. In the afternoon we watched the horse and Dog racing on TV. Kelsey was helping Charlie pick the winners. She was pinching his arm for the number of the winner. She did very well. Just before Jason’s bath and bed he helped me make a cake for dessert.

Sleeping on Gamma

22 September
Charlie and I took Kelsey and Jason out for the morning. We had morning tea at the art gallery. Jason was very good and drank his fluffy out of the cup for the first time. A fluffy is a small cup of frothy milk or hot chocolate served with marshmallows. Jason loves the marshmallows. Kelsey just slept very peacefully. We then went to the library where Jason just played with the computers, and had to give Kelsey a feed. Home for nap. In the afternoon Charlie and I took the kids out again. Went to Botany to get a map book from Whitcoulls and then did a bit of a shop at Pak and Save for groceries. Jason did not want to sit in the trolly and was crying to start. Soon he was leaning over to put mushrooms in the bag for mom. He had a bag of grapes next to him which he kept eating while we were going around the supermarket and this kept him occupied and he was fine. Charlie was pushing Kelsey in the pram.

Visited Mt Eden

21 September
Charlie, Gamma, Kelsey and I went out the Plaza, while Jason was asleep at home with Dad. Popped in at my work. Went to The Warehouse to get JC some summer singlets and got some grocery supplies from Foodtown. One of the checkout ladies had knitted some pink booties for Kelsey and she was there today so went to her to collect them. They are gorgeous. Also got some muffins for afternoon tea. Home for nap. Took a drive to Mt Eden and the racecourse to show the new arrivals some sights. Jason just loved being on top of the Mt and running around the trig beacon. Kelsey stayed in the car as the wind was cold and howling up there. We drove to the racecourse and had the muffins we had taken with us for afternoon tea in the carpark. Jason again had a run around and got chased by Mom and Dad. Came home for a relax.

Dad and Kids

20 Sepetmber

Walked to the boardwalk

19 September
Lots of hugs and cuddles for Kelsey from Gamma this morning. In the afternoon the whole family went to fetch Jason from N.Lynne. He was not to sure about the new people. When we got home Dad had to leave to go to a farewell at work and the rest of us went for a walk along the boardwalk. Just after starting out Jason held Gamma’s hand and not long after Charlie picked him up and he has been fine with them being here the whole afternoon. It was so cute to see him interact with the new people in his life. Kelsey just slept on our walk. She is fine being cuddled by the “new” people.

Next Steps and Grandparents arrive

18 September
Took kids to Jason’s next steps. Jason had fun with some new building materials. He made a tower as tall as he was. Kelsey lay on her mat watching all the action going on around her. Jason fell asleep in the car on the way home.Took Jason to N. Lynne around 5pm to stay the night. Went to the airport to fetch Gamma and Charlie. It was very exciting and Kelsey got her first hug at the airport from her grandparents.

Precious little girl

17 September
Jason at Nanny Lynne, where he painted a beautiful canvas in primary colours for us to hang in the kitchen. Kelsey and I went to Sylvia Park shopping centre to look around and do grocery shopping for when the folks arrive tomorrow night. She was awake in the capsule and while I walked around she was looking and cooing much better. I had to give her a change and feed so used the parent room at the shopping centre. Came home to sort and tidy the house. Had to put the duvet on Jason’s trampoline. He was not happy.

Birthday Party

16 September
Kelsey and Jason went to the twins, Alyssa and Michaela’s birthday party. He was very well behaved and amused himself with all their toys as they were different and new. We gave them a blow up see saw for a present. He sat nicely at the table and ate his party food. He tried Pretzels and rice crackers both of which he liked. Kelsey was well behaved and mostly slept but did need a change and a feed. It was after Jason’s nap time when we left and he was tired. He was given a bag of chips when he left which he wanted to eat in the car so on the way home he was putting a chip in his mouth and chewing with his eyes shut. He only did a few chips and fell asleep with the bag in his hand. It was very funny to watch.

I'm the little sister

15 September
Dad needed time to do some work and maintenance in the house for when his parents arrive so I took the kids out for the morning. We went to the park first and Jason found some friends to climb with . We had morning tea at the park and then walked over to the library. Had a look there before going to say hi at my work. I needed to change Kelsey so we went to the nappy changing room and Jason played on the little slide while I attended to Kelsey. Took a picture of the two of them on the seat in there. Jason then had a kids hamburger and chips before we went home for a nap. Kelsey went back to sleep while Jason was being a good boy sitting eating his lunch.
In the afternoon it was a hot so Kelsey wore her shorts and top which says, I’m the little sister, for the first time. So cute.

Tummy time

14 September
Jason was up early so we baked Anzac biscuit. The Plunket nurse arrived at 9:30 to weight and measure Kelsey. Jason was very good getting out the scales and then would not leave the buttons alone. Press, press. Kelsey now weighs 5.14kgs. She is tracking along nicely. After Jason helped the nurse wipe down the scale and mat and put it away, he walked to her car and was allowed to press the button to open the car. How lucky. We then went to the shops. Kelsey and Jason had tummy time on the mat in the afternoon. Kelsey is so good on her tummy and likes to look around.

Portrait

13 September
Jason went to Nanny Lynne today. Looked around shops before heading home. Took portraits of Kelsey in the afternoon. I set up my “studio” in the lounge and took photos of the cute smiley Kelsey. She kept slipping on the silk sheet so had to keep propping her up.

Mainly Music

12 September 2007
Went to Music and Jason just loves it when the parachute comes out. He was running underneath it. He made a boat at the crafts today. Kelsey just slept through music. We went to the park afterwards and it was not raining this week. Jason did some amazing climbing on the jungle gym. I had a hard time trying to leave when Kelsey woke up for a feed so I fed her at the park. Jason even went on the big swings and quite high. Eventually we left the park and came home for a nap.

Do you want my cone?

11 September
Made anzac biscuits with Jason early this morning. He had a cake cone and wanted to give Kelsey a bit, so cute but he does not understand why she can’t have any. Then at 10am, Krystal and Matthew came to visit. Kelsey got to sleep in Krystal's arms. The boys played around and had fun with play doh. In the afternoon Kelsey was lying on the playmate when he brother decided to undress her. He undid the poppers on her all in one and took her feet out. He then proceeded to take her socks off to find her toes. He was pointing at them saying toes, toes. He then took his socks off and lay down next to her. Had a fun afternoon romping with Jason. He remembered from Sunday that I lifted him up on my feet into the air and wanted me to do it again. Dad came home and had Kelsey on his chest while I got dinner ready. Then we bathed both kids and but them to bed. Well Kelsey didn’t really go to bed, she stays up with Mom until about 9:30.

Smiley

10 September
Dropped Jason off at Nanny Lynne. Came home to do sorting and cleaning. Kelsey was in her new little bear outfit and was so smiley today.

My cot mobile

9 September
Mom looked after the kids while Dad did house maintenance. I put up the mobile for Kelsey to look at while Dad and I sort Jason out for bed,

Me and my brother

8 September
Went to visit Logan and family in the morning. Jason and Logan had a fun time playing together and running around outside. Took a photo of the two Big Brothers and there siblings as they sat on the couch. Came home for naps and then put the bed up in Kelsey’s room for the Lee’s. Jason thought this new trampoline was great. He crossed his fingers today for the first time.

I still have my Daddy's eye colour

7 September
Had the morning at home playing around. In the afternoon had a visit from Anne Rowe who came to see Kelsey. Kelsey gave her great big smiles. Kelsey and I went out in the evening to Kmart and I bought her some cute shorts and jeans on sale.

First vaccinations

6 September
Dropped Jason off at N.Lynne and then went shopping. Bought Jason a shirt which says If I can reach it it’s mine. How very fitting as just this morning he was standing on a 2l ice-cream container to reach the taps in the bathroom. Poor Kelsey had her first vaccinations today. She screamed for a bit but then was fine. We popped in at work and said hello to the people there before going home for the afternoon. Kelsey was very sleepy but did not get a fever. She slept very well giving mom time to clean the house.

2 Months today

5 September
Took the kids to music. Kelsey had a big spill in her car seat so I had to do a complete change of clothes for her. She lay on her change mat watching all the action going on around. Jason coloured in a picture of a bus and then it was time to head home. It was raining and Jason ran off to the park. I put Kelsey in the car and went back for Jason. He was soaking wet, as he had climbed up and slid down the slide right into the bark and dirt. Had to take him home without his trousers and jacket on. Took some picture of Kelsey in the afternoon. I can’t believe how big she is already at 2 months.

Kids in our bed

4 September
Kept kids at home in the morning and had to take Kelsey to the Dr’s in the afternoon. Jason came with and was well behaved so the Dr gave him a jelly bean. Kelsey is doing better so that good news.

Back to Dr's

3 September
Kelsey had a bad night and is coughing up feeds again so back to the Dr’s. Jason came as well. Kelsey is breathing ok so Dr said he would keep an eye on her so have appt tomorrow. Jason had a check up and has a very red ear so was given antibiotics. They were both very well behaved at the Dr’s. Kelsey has a dummy as its the only way I can settle her when she vomits up her feed and is hungry for more but I don't have any milk for her. Just can't wait for all the sickness to end.
2 September 2007
Jason and I made banana muffins for father’s day. Jason had fun mixing and pouring the ingredients but gets a bit carried away. He emptied the whole jar of raisins in to the mix when half would have been enough. Oh well. Kelsey still blocked up and starting to cough. She had a quiet day.

Sick kids again

1 September 2007
We were supposed to go to a birthday party today but Jason is in no state to go anywhere. Kelsey and I went to the party just to deliver the gift and then I took her to the Dr’s. Her chest is clear so that’s good. She has conjunctivitis so got some drops to put in her eye. Spent afternoon at home looking after sick kids.

Plunket weight and measure

31 August 2007
Kelsey had her Plunket visit today. She now weighs 4.5 kg. So she is growing well. Suppose to go to music fathers day night but Jason sick again today had a fever at 5pm. Poor chap. Kelsey is getting more blocked up to.

Smiling

30 August 2007
Made Anzacs biscuits with and a crown out of a cereal box with Jason. Jason loved the star stikys we put on the crown and stamped the stamp all around his mouth. Kelsey up all afternoon. She was happy to lie on the playmate and gave me such cute smiles. Dad came home early.

Kids in bed

29 August 2007
Dad dropped JC off at N Lynne and I took Kelsey to the Dr’s for her 6week check. She now weight 4.50kg and is 53cm. She has done well putting on weight after her sickness. Went to hospital, threw up in car seat just as arriving in carpark. Had my check up. Visited Jean at parentcare and gave back the small size clothes we had hired for Kelsey. Went to Sylvia Park on way home to get present for Matthews birthday party on the weekend. Home for an hour. Stopped in at the lady who organised meals for us to return dishes and give her a gift. Collected JC.

Reading Peter Rabbit

28 August 2007
Spent day at home. Kelsey happy looking at her Peter Rabbit book.

Looking at you

27 August 2007
Dad took JC to Nanny Lynne. Spent morning in bed will Kelsey. Still feeling very under the weather.

Bath in the baisin

26 August 2007
Had day at home as not well had a fever last night. Gave Dad and Jason a haircut. I managed to clipper most of the back of Jason’s hair and did the top on the change table with the scissors while he was distracted. Doesn’t look to bad considering I have no experience and his in ability to sit still.

Here's looking at you Dad

24 August 2007
Gave Dad a smile this morning. This is the first time Dad has seen her real smile. Very cute and special. Went to the chiropractor this morning with the kids. Then to dressmart. Jason was so well behaved

25 August 2007
Took Kelsey to the Lab with me as had to do a glucose tolerance test which takes 2 hrs. Kelsey was very good and did not cry once.

Watching Jason Vacuum

23 August 2007
Kelsey sleeps in the morning so good time to play with Jason. The weather is warmer and sunny today so we play outside. I chased him around the hose a few times. We also baked brownies before morning nap. In the afternoon Kelsey had mat time in the sun. Jason lay beside her and then decided to pick her up but could not manage, and would not be allowed to. I did the vacuuming and Jason tried to use it too. So cute as it’s a big upright one. Kelsey has started to make little sounds now and is smiling more. The lady organising dinners for us popped over and had hugs with Jason and Kelsey. Jason was very lucky as she let Jason push her car horn. Every time at N Lynne when cars leave they give a toot toot, so Jason knows this and even when we go out in the car he says toot toot. Dad was home late so Kelsey had cuddles with Dad while I heated dinner. We had time together until 10 pm when she went to sleep.
