Santa Parade

1 December
Dressed Kelsey and Jason in there Xmas outfits and went to the Panmure Santa Parade. Jason was so good and walked to the main road holding Daddy’s hand. Kelsey was in the front pack. It was a hot sunny day. The parade started at 11:30. Jason was a bit overwhelmed by it all I think he does not yet understand about xmas and Santa but we are training him. Kelsey has fun watching all the floats go by. I went to work in the afternoon and left the Kids with Dad and the in-laws. Kelsey was very good

Kelsey and Regan

30 November
In the morning Jason was driving me nuts. Doing everything he shouldn’t and ending up breaking my lamp shade. Kelsey was a good girl and lay on her playmate batting and chewing the toys. Thankfully nap time arrived at 11:30. I got a call from Angie and when Jason woke up we met at Chipmunks kid playground. Jason just loved it and ran around all over and went down the big slide. Kelsey and Regan were in the baby pen together. It was a good bit of time out for me as I did not need to entertain or amuse or play with Jason. Came home had fish and chips for dinner then Jason went to bed and Kelsey had a feed. I was going out to a make up party and the in-laws offered to look after Kelsey. I was there for an hour when I got a call “come home now” Kelsey was just not settling and all had tried to comfort her. I came home collected her and went back with her to the party. She was awake the whole time but went to sleep in the car on the way home.

Tummy swing and rolled over for the first time

29 November
Took Jason to Nanny Lynne and stopped there to feed Kelsey before going shopping. Came home and got ready for Baby Beans. We had a new thing today – the tummy swing. Kelsey just loved it. Poking her tongue out and smiling away while swinging around. She was on a mat on her tummy watching the splash mat when all of a sudden she was on her back. Oh My Gosh – Yes she rolled over. She has not done it again today but watch this space. Came home and she had a good 2hr nap. Gave her a feed and a change and went to the post shop on the way to collect Jason. Kelsey and I were going to have a bath together in the big bath but were interrupted by Jason, so all three of us had a bath in the big bath. It was fun.

Sitting on the grass

23 November
Kelsey had her morning nap so Jason and I backed brownies. He just loves eating the mixture and always say yummy yummy. He then helped me peg out the washing. Kelsey had fun later under the playgym and in the late evening she was out on the grass practicing to sit up.

Fun at Baby Beans

22 November
Jason at Nanny Lynne. Kelsey and I went to Botany to do shopping. I bought her a lightweight waffle blanket with a sleeping rabbit on it. Then off the Baby Beans. They had a net up today that you could lye baby under and it had ribbon through it. Kelsey loved this and squealed with delight. Sat up only for a few seconds by herself. She is also very good at going backwards down the ramp on her tummy today.

First time in Cot Bassinet and out on the deck

21 November
Early this morning I got the portacot up and put the bassinet part in it for Kelsey as she has outgrown the old bassinet. She had her first sleep in it before we went to music. Jason was shy at music and just wanted to sit on my lap. We left early and went over to the park. Kelsey watched her big brother climbing and swinging. The afternoon was really hot so we went out on to the deck. Kelsey had never sat outside before. She was in her rocker while Jason had great fun with water. Painted her name on the deck.

Santa Photo

20 November
Took Jason to Nanny Lynne and came home. Ange and Regan came over as a lady came from Mary Kay cosmetics came over to demonstrate her products to us. Kelsey fell asleep before anyone arrived and stayed asleep for the whole session. Once the consultant had left I took some portraits of Regan. Kelsey was still asleep when they left, she had a good 3hrs sleep. In the afternoon I took some Xmas photos of Kelsey. She looks so gorgeous. This photo will be on the NZ Xmas cards this year.

In my brothers cot

17 November
Went to Jason room to play and put Kelsey in the cot. Next thing Jason has climbed in and is pretending to sleep next to her. I put the new beach pod shelter up in the lounge and this provided much entertainment. Kelsey enjoyed lying under it. She had a wonderful 2hr nap in the brothers cot this morning while Jason was playing outside. Riding his toddler bike down the hill at great speeds. When Jason went to nap Kelsey and I did some grocery shopping. She sat in trolley seat for the first time today. I bought her a set of keys tethers as she is now into chewing things. It was a hot day so when we got home I changed clothes and put on a singlet and her little skirt, so cute. She had a fun time sitting on Gammas lap looking out the window at the world. She really is growing up fast. Miss my little “baby” already.

Bug Chair

16 November
Day from hell. Jason was whinny and moany from the time he got up and Kelsey was not sleeping and crying as she was overtired. Finally when Jason went down for his nap Kelsey and I went and had a nap. In the afternoon I did the unthinkable and took the kids out to Bunnings hardware store. Surprisingly Jason was very well behaved and did not whine or cry once. We got the parts to fix the heated towel rail back to the wall and then Jason had a play in the playground. Kelsey sat briefly in the bug chair and watched him. I am sure I head Kelsey do a little laugh today while I was holding her up and blowing on her fringe. In the evening Kelsey and I went to the Plaza to look around and then stopped in at Rangers. They all had fun cooing over her and holding her. She was a bit hard to settle when we got home but she then slept until 2pm and only woke again at 6am.

Baby Beans

15 November
Dropped Jason off and did a bit of shopping with Kelsey. Went to the Warehouse at Botany to get Jason a plastic table to sit at and eat his lunch. It was upstairs in the furniture dept so Kelsey and I got a ride in the goods lift. The weather was great so we walked to Baby Beans today. She had great fun as usual. Went to the library in the afternoon before collecting Jason. Made dinner with Kelsey in the front pack, she enjoys being up and able to see.

14 November
The weather is awful cold and raining. I took the kids of to music. Jason was great and joined in the actions for some songs and Kelsey lay on her mat again just watching all the action. One little girl came up to stroke Kelsey it was cute. We then left music but did not get out of the building as it is a community centre with an art gallery and coffee shop. The problem was there were the centres toys out in the foyer and Jason wanted to play so I let him while I fed Kelsey. I did have to drag him away. He cried in the car all the way home so it was bottle and straight to bed. Kelsey and I then had a nap. The three of us played in the afternoon. Kelsey was lying in JC cot and JC and I were in his closet reading stories it was a fun afternoon. Kelsey had to have a bath as she had overfilled her pants and needed to be cleaned. She fell asleep on me while we were all watching TV.

Dressed to go out

13 November
Dropped Jason off and did groceries before going to visit Bex and her new baby Claire. Had a good chat before coming home. In the afternoon I went to get my hair cut. Kelsey was awake the whole time in the pram and then fell asleep while I walked around Silvia Park. We collected Jason on out way home. It was earlier than normal and Jason’s favourite playmate was visiting so took Kelsey in for a feed and Nanny Lynne had hugs.

Suckie flannel

12 November
Kelsey had a good night and only woke around 7:30 this morning. She was up and happy and played under her play gym before her morning nap. She napped close to 2.5 hrs which was great as this gave me time to play with Jason. Gamma started her job today so Jason had one less playmate. We did some baking and played outside with his car. In the afternoon I took both the kids to my work. Jason was so well behave and held the pram while walking in the car park. Kelsey got hugs from Alice at work and they were all looking at her beautiful blue eyes. We then came home and Kelsey had a feed before nodding off to sleep. This gave me time to cook dinner. She had a nice bath before her bed. Gamma was holding her and she was sucking on a face cloth while Dad and I bathed Jason and put him to bed.

Having my nails cut

11 November
Gave Kelsey a feed before heading of to work for the day and leaving her with Daddy and the grandparents. She was ok in the morning but got grouchy at lunch time, she did not settle well and had not had much sleep. Dad brought her down to me twice for feeding. In the afternoon Robyne and her two kids visited and her eldest daughter just loved holding Kelsey. She was asleep when I came home. I missed her a lot during the day but enjoyed my time at work. She fell asleep early as I think the day had caught up to her.

Baby Beans Big Ball

8 November
Xanthe left this morning Kelsey got a good bye kiss before she left. Took Jason to Nanny Lynne and went to do shopping home again before Jumping Beans. Loved it today and it must have tired her out as she sleep well when we got home.

Visit to Kelly Tarlton's

7 November
In the morning Xanthe, myself and the kids went to Kelly Tarltons. Kelsey was in the big pram so she could see out. Jason had wonderful fun climbing on the snowcats. Then we went in the snowcats around a circuit to look at the penguins. Jason can say penguin. Kelsey sat on Xanthe’s lap looking out the window. Jason was a bit more interested in the interior light than the penguins, typical. Jason had great delight in sticking his had in the freezing water they had a display. Then went to the Aquarium that goes right over your head. There is a travellator that takes you around. Jason was more interested in how that worked than the fish and sharks. Kelsey had a feed while looking at the eels and then it was off back home. Had a quiet afternoon. In the evening Xanthe has some last huggie time with Kelsey as she leaves tommorrow.

Doudou Rabbit

6 November
Dropped Jason off and Met up with Angie and Regan for a coffee at Sylvia Park. Kelsey slept most of the time but woke up for a feed. Bought her a top and jacket on sale for next winter. Came home for lunch then took Xanthe out to Henderson to look at some boots. Kelsey slept all the way there. I took her out when we got to the shop. Xanthe found some boot and we then made our way to collect Jason. Kelsey was not happy and started screaming unfortunately I was on the motorway and could not stop to feed or comfort her so she had to wait until I reached an off ramp I knew. We got off the motorway and gave her a feed. She was then quiet again but only until we were back on the motorway then she started crying again. We were now stuck in 4pm traffic and I could do nothing for her. Finally reached Pakuranga and stopped to comfort her. She was so hot and sweaty from all the crying. Poor thing. We eventually collected Jason and made it home. Not a pleasant journey home.

Daddy's bithday

5 November
Daddy’s birthday today. Kelsey and Dad had a lye-in bed, then it was up from morning tea and presents. We had a carrot cake and put two candles in and sang happy birthday. Jason was delighted and blew out the candles. Kelsey bought Dad a puzzle and Jason gave him some KidKnex. Kelsey, Eve and I went to get the cheesecake for tonight’s dessert, And also went to Howick to look for a dou dou blanket for Kelsey. I saw one I liked but I still was looking for a special Kaloo one. I did find one and have put it away for a bit. It’s ever so cute. Charlie Gamma, me and the kids went for a walk up Pigeon Mountain. Went to Denny’s for an early birthday dinner. Jason was well behaved but as usual did not eat much. Kelsey sat on my lap most of the time. We all had a wonderful day.

Botanical Gardens

4 November
After breakfast Kelsey fell asleep in her bassinet which is great then I was mean and woke her up to take her out. Went with Gamma and kids to the botanical gardens Jason had great fun running around. They have new sculptures in the park so we went and looked at a few. Jason was scared of the ducks and at the entrance even went to Gamma to be picked up because the ducks were coming. Kelsey was asleep for the walk. Then had morning tea in the undercover area. They had an activity there to build a structure from various props. The guys running it helped Jason while Gamma and I had tea and Kelsey had a feed. Then it was time to head home. Had sometime with Kelsey while Jason slept. She is growing so big so fast, tomorrow she will be 4 months old. Got A call just after Jason woke up to rescue Gamma and Charlie. They had a flat battery. So in the car with the kids off to Onehunga. Kelsey slept and Jason was entertained with his Happy Meal and toy. Came home. Jason wanted to play and huggie Kelsey. So cute. He is trying to interact with her. He did this little piggy and Round & round the garden. While making dinner Gamma had Kelsey sitting on the counter and she sat by herself for 3 sec. In the evening Kelsey just would not settle. It took a lot of humming and rocking, while trying to watch happy feet.

3 November
Kids in bed with mom. Jason so excited when Thomas the tank engine came on morning T.V. He just shouted Thomas! Thomas! On his own with no prompting or hearing of the word. So I don’t know if Nanny Lynne has any Thomas stuff. When it was finished Jason kept saying Thomas gone. Went to do grocery shopping and then Kelsey myself and the Grandparents went to look at show homes. Kelsey mostly slept but did come in to one house with us. Then home for the afternoon feed. She was sitting on the kitchen counter with Gamma holding her while I made dinner.

Little Miss Sunshine

2 November
Made corn bread today and it turned out well. Spent day at home with Gamma and Charlie. Wore her “little miss sunshine” t-shirt. In the evening Gamma, Kelsey and I went to St Luke’s Shopping centre to get shoes and gifts for Dad’s birthday. She was awake the whole time and as we were leaving the car park she started crying so I had to stop in a street and feed her before heading home.

Jason at Nanny Lynne. Went to Kmart and Warehouse to look at shoes for Jason. Bought Jason’s Xmas Present. Dropped in at work where they all cooed over Kelsey. Went to Jumping Beans with Kelsey and Gamma came with. She was so good and even did a 360 degree roll in the cylinder. Had lunch bathed Kelsey then off to the Dr for her vaccinations. She was fast asleep when I got there and the nurse didn’t want to wake her to do the injections. She cried while she was given the injections but straight after that she was fine. I feed her while I waited for 20 min before leaving and by the time we left she was fast asleep. In the evening Dad and I left Kelsey with the Grandparents and went to kmart to exchange Jason’s shoes as they did not fit.
