Matthew's Birthday Party

31 August
Spent the morning at home after another bad night with the kids. In the afternoon it was Matthew's 3rd birthday party. Jason so wanted to come but was tired and clingy, anyway mom and 2 kids went to the party. Kelsey was well behaved and had some party food. She enjoyed watching the presents get unwrapped. Jason was fine and played with his coffee group friends. Came home for an early bath with Dad and off to bed as it was a big afternoon for the 2 sickly kids.

Logan & Regan's Birthday Party

30 August
Jason not well and Kelsey still waking in the night and snuffly. Put Kelsey down for a nap before going to Logan and Regan's birthday party at Chipmunks. Kelsey had fun was exploring galore. Jason was very reserved and touchy. Came home for JC to have a nap but Tina from up the rode came visiting. The three of them played together until Kelsey went down for her nap at 3pm. Tina and Jason did baking and jumped on the trampoline. She went home just as Kesley woke up from her nap near 5pm.

All tired out

29 August
Matthew came over to visit just after 6:30 today. He was here until the afternoon. Kelsey was excited to see him. We baked biscuits to take to playgroup and then we all bundled in the car to playgroup. Kelsey ventured out to the outside playhouse for the first time today. We had music then morning tea. After that we made binoculars from cardboard rolls. They were a hit back home as all the kids were spying things in the house. I took Kelsey out the car and put her on the couch while I made sure her bed was ready and she fell fast asleep, bless her. After Matt left JC had a big sleep then of to the Dr's. He has a really bad case of an ear infection. Kelsey was all fine except her cold. Home for dinner bath and bed.

New dinnerware

28 August
Both kids up with fevers in the night. Jason did not go to kindy and Kelsey didn't go to Nanny Lynne. In the morning I took a drive to the north Shore to collect some dinner plates for KC and JC. His plate is a Bob the Builder on and Kelsey has Strawberry shortcake. They couldn't wait to see them so I had to open them in the car for the trip home. Had a quiet afternoon as both fell asleep on the way home and transferred to bed. Will take them to the Dr's tomorrow.

Drive with Dad

27 August
Kids not well today and Kelsey had a bad night. She was back in bed just after 9.00am. I asked Jason if he wanted to go to music and he said no so we let Kelsey sleep and stayed home. The plumber came anyway so it was a good decision. Both kids had a drive with Dad when he came home.

Sylvia Park Playground

23 August
Gamma and Charlie came over but Charlie is not well. We left him at home and the rest of us went to Sylvia Park. We had a coffee and then the kids had fun in the park. This was the first time in this park. Kelsey did very well at climbing and getting through the zig-zag corridor.

First time climbing on to the box

22 August

Went to playgroup this morning. This afternoon Kelsey climbed on to the toy box for the first time. Jason does it all the time so it was bound to happen. Where to and how high next?

Brownie making

21 August
Kelsey at Nanny Lynne today. When we came home Kayla adn Daniel came over to make brownies. It was great fun. As they were leaving little miss tried to steal one of Daniel's brownies. Both kids love eating them.

Tired at music

20 August
Kelsey was up early this morning so she was very tired at music. She fell asleep in the car almost straight away.

Kelsey and Lukas

19 August
Went to Cecilia for coffee group today. Kelsey tried to play with the big kids but she had a hard time. She enjoyed eating apple slices and making a mess with her cake. Took a photo of her and Lukas.

17 August
Jason put his pillow in the box and crawled in to "sleep". Kelsey thought this looked like great fun so she wanted to try it as well. Jason whipped the pillow out so quick she had no chance of getting in. Moment lost.

New chair and Chipmunks

16 August
Met Regan and Logan at Chipmunks. Left Jason there to play while I took Kelsey to fetch her new chair. Met Angie and the kids back at Chipmunks. The kids had great fun. I gave JC and KC a ride in the helicopter. Kelsey really enjoyed her ride. The chair is so that they don't both fight over Jason's Thomas chair.

Charlie's Bday

15 August
Gamma and Charlie came over for his birthday. We had a cake and Jason just had to have candles and sing happy birthday. Kids had fun with the grandparents. Stayed until kids bedtime so they helped but thenm to bed and read stories.

13 August
Went to music today, new name tags. Kelsey has a ladybug picture on hers. It is cold today so she wore a big thick coat to and from music.

Playing in the beach pod

12 August
Put up the beach pod in the dinning room today for a bit of a play. The kids loved it. Had morning tea and a story sitting in it.

JB's and Park

11 August
Went to Jumping Beans this morning then on to see the twin girls and Callum. Jason and Kelsey had great fun with all their toys. On the way home stopped in at the park. Kelsey found a branch to play with.

Went to Playgroup this morning and make egg box and pipe cleaner spiders.

Nanny and 1st walk up the road

7 August
Went to Nanny today. Came home and went for our first walk up the road. Kelsey followed Jason to every letterbox and tree and flowerbed. She was having a great time. She walked all the way to the end of the street which is quite a way considering we haven't been walking long. She objected to being but in the pushchair for the return journey. The girls in the street came over to visit when we got back. Kelsey turned in a circle today until she got dizzy and fell over.

My first scribble

6 August

Didn't go to music today but did go to my work and to the foodcourt for lunch. Kelsey did her first scribble today with the crayons. She did discover you can eat then so that's when scribble time was up. She loved it .

School sores

5 August
Jason not at Kindy. Kelsey has developed sores so of to the Dr's with her to get antibiotics. This will be her first course of antibiotics. The fevers have gone and they are both much better. Had a play outside this afternoon.

Jumping beans

4 August
Took the kids to Jumping beans this morning. Jason's a bit better, but noticed sores on his lips and chin. Took both kids to the Dr's in the afternoon. Jason has Impetigo or school sores. He has a cream and a course of antibiotics to take. It is very contagious so Kelsey is bound to get it. Probably why she had a temp on Sat.

Camp Rutherford

3 August
In the afternoon the whole family went out to Camp Rutherford for the Guides flaming foods competition. It was raining on and off and the ground was very muddy so we didn't stay to long. Jason was fascinated by the guides cooking on gas. Kelsey's eye has really gone black and yellow now from her fall.

Horse training

2 August
Gamma and Charlie came over to visit today. Jason is no better and Kelsey started a fever as well.

First Train Ride

1 August
Met Krystal and Matthew at the station and took the train to the city. Kelsey stayed in the pram. Got to Britomart and went over to the Downtown shops for wees and morning tea. Jason seemed fine but then got a fever all of a sudden. He was really hot. I went to the pharmacy for some panadol. He went to sleep on the food court floor while the rest of us had morning tea. Put him in Kelsey's stroller and balanced her on top to get back to the train. She had fun climbing on the seats on the way back. Went home Jason slept. Took him to Dr's around 3pm. Sent home as viral cold. Kelsey had fun on her outing.
