Waved today

31 March
Spent time with Daddy before work. Headed off to Jumping Beans which tired the kids out as they both napped for 2.5 hrs. Gamma and Charlie came to visit . Jumped on trampoline. Dad came home early to mow the lawns and when he was finished Jason had a shower with daddy. Dad went back to work for a colleagues farewell. I was bathing Kelsey when Jason undressed himself to get in the bath but instead ran off naked. I finished bathing Kelsey and dressed her and went to find Jason who was at the front gate with all the kids in the street talking to him while he stood there stark naked. I dragged him inside to put clothes on him. Dad came home after bedtime. Kelsey started waving today.

Daddy's home

30 March
Gamma and Charlie moved in to there new home and we went to the airport to collect Daddy. Jason was so excited to see daddy and Kelsey was to. She even did clap handies. Jason got a cool t-shirt and Kelsey a Chinese fan from daddy's travels to Hong Kong. We are all glad to have him home.

29 March
Got the kids up after midnight to go to the airport to collect Gamma and Charlie. Jason was so excited about being out in the dark. Got home early hours and Jason finally went to sleep again. Kelsey slept most of the journey and settled back quite quickly. Spent the day with Gamma and Charlie

Who's hiding

28 March
Kelsey woke at 6pm and was very happy. Jason was not up yet so just lay in bed with Kelsey. She then started clapping her hands. This is the first time I had seen her do this. When Jason woke up we had breakfast. Kelsey went down for a nap before we went to Playgroup. Jason calls it coffeegloop because Matt and Maja also come along. He had fun there today painting and glueing, as well as the outside play. I was helping him paint and then went to check on Kelsey and she had disappeared from the mat. I looked all over the big room and eventually spotted her on the opposite corner of the room under the table eating a piece of train track. Packed up and left headed to Manakau to pick up an order. Jason saw Petrol tankers so learned two new words today. Then went down to Papakura to collect his shoes from Oscar. We didn’t stay long but he had fun. I was talking to Kathleen when I saw Kelsey holding on to the small plastic table and because they have a tiled floor it moved forward a bit so she moved her feet forward and again the table moved so did she. She must have taken about 4 steps with the table moving.

Up and Over the A frame

27 March
Took Jason to Nanny Lynne. Kelsey was awake so took her in to see Lynne. Lynley one of the other mom’s was there and she got cuddles. She then put her in the dolphin swing and gave her gentle pushes, she just loved it kicking her legs and squealing with laughter. Then it was off to the shops and my work before home and then to Jumping beans. Today Kelsey climbed up, over and down the A frame. Very proud of her. She also did pull ups while holding on to two rings. Came home for lunch and then Kelsey had a 3hr nap. It was great for me. Then went to get Jason and look after him and Zack while Lynne had to pop out. Kelsey and Zack sat in the highchairs having morning tea together. Then Jason wanted me to put Kelsey in the excersaucer and he moved it round saying Kelsey mukit (music) on. Until she was in front of the music button. Nanny Lynne and Jason showed us the lollypop song .Very cute. Home for dinner bath and bed.

Tried noodles

26 March
Good night. In bed 7:15 woke 11:30 feed, woke 2:30 gave water woke 6:00am.
Jason at NLynne. Went to music, Kelsey got picked up by the girls but did not like it. Danced along so nicely today and had fun with the music. Enjoyed crawling around playing with the rattles. Popped in to work then headed out to Sylvia Park. Gave Kelsey a feed in the parent room and then did a grocery shop. Kelsey sat in the trolley eating crackers and having a whale of a time. At the check out she was funny as she watched the items being scanned and tried to look behind her at where they were going. Came home and she had a good long sleep for 2 ½ hrs. I relaxed. Then collected Jason and Kelsey had afternoon tea at Lynne and enjoyed crawling on the grass before coming home. Jason had 2 min noodles for dinner and Kelsey tried them. It was cute seeing her putting the long noodles in her mouth. She sure did like them. At bath time Kelsey was dried and dressed so while I got Jason out and dried off, Miss Kelsey had moved from the deep end of the bath to almost the shallow end by moving sideways with her feet. All kids to bed and Mom relaxing.

25 March

Jason went to Nanny Lynne. Went shopping at Botany, had afternoon at home. In the evening at bath time Kelsey fell over and went underwater for a second but swallowed some water so she did lots of coughing. She didn’t cry much but shame poor girl. This was her first time with her face in the water.

Fun in the sun

24 March

The two other Ranger leaders daughters came over this morning to look after the kids while we had a meeting. Jason and Kelsey had a whale of a time with them. After they left I tried to put Jason down for a nap but in the end he had no nap. In the afternoon both kids were on the trampoline and playing on the deck.. The girls in the street came over and Jason rode his bike with girls while I fed Kelsey her bottle then it was off to have a bath.

Easter Sunday

23 March
Went to the Botanical garden in the morning. Did the big egg hunt. Came home for Kelsey’s nap. Took the kids swimming. It was Kelsey’s first time in the pool. She just loved it. I put her in a baby floater and her little legs were kicking away. She really enjoyed herself. Jason had a mighty good time to. When we got home the Easter bunny had been and left Kelsey some nesting eggs and Jason a little chicken container full on mini marshmallows. We had a fun filled day.

New Bubble machine

22 March
Spent the morning at home and went to Manukau shops in the afternoon. Jason had a book in the car and Kelsey went to grab it and Jason said “No don’t touch it Kelsey”. Had a walk around the mall and went to Farmers to exchange a top for KC. Jason had fun riding in the lift. We had ice-creams and JC got to play with the toys in the parent room while I changed and fed Kelsey. We then went to the warehouse. Had a struggle to get Jason out of the toy isle and had to put him in the trolley with Kelsey. We bought some Easter shape marshmallows for tomorrow. Home for dinner and a bath. In bath Jason gave Kelsey a kiss on her head and back. Put the new bubble machine up in the bath. They had great fun with it.

Easter Friday at the beach

21 March
Well it was a tough night and I am tired as both kids up before 6:30. Had breakfast, toasted hot cross buns. Kelsey had some bun with no fruit and loved it. Then got packed up and ready to go to the beach. It was a lovely hot sunny, windless day. Kelsey fell asleep on the way there so left her in the car while Jason and I played in the sand and waves. He loved splashing in the water, it was a bit cold to begin but soon it was great. Kept checking on Kelsey to see how she was doing. When she woke up I had packed most things away so took her for a her first dunk in the ocean. She liked it except when she was sitting in the surf and a big wave came and splashed her in the face. Washed the two kids of in the plastic tub I took with, so there would be no sand in the car. Jason then wanted to go to the park across the road so we went there for a while. Kelsey had a swing went on the seesaw with Jason and down the slide. Came home for lunch and naps. Well Jason didn’t have one and Kelsey only went down near 3pm. After Kelsey’s nap we all went on the trampoline for a jump. Jason rode his bike in the cul de sac before coming in for dinner. Kelsey ate heaps of dinner. She had half a tin of food. An 8th of a cheese and marmite sandwich then some yoghurt for the first time and she liked it. Then she washed it all down with 60mls of milk. Then it was baths and hair wash to get all the salt off and then to bed. Jason wanted Kelsey to lye on the bed with him but she kept trying to get his milk which he thought was very funny and such a game. They were both laughing away at each other. Jason got into bed nicely and kissed KC and Me goodnight. Took Kelsey to bed straight after.

Cute Bunny

20 March
Jason good boy this morning before going to Nanny Lynne. Came home with Kelsey and left her sleeping in the car while I vacuumed and cleaned a bit. When she woke we played a bit before hading off to Beans. Well when we got there there was no beans due to the long weekend so we went and did the grocery shopping. Came home and gave her lunch. She liked the tin food and surprised me and ate all I dished. They it was down for a nap and I had a sleep to. Not long after Kelsey work up Bex arrived with Claire. She is younger than Kelsey by 1 and half months but is the same size if not bigger. They cooed at each other but mostly played apart. Kelsey was by the stairs doing the right thing of turning around to go down but slipped and this time tumbled to the bottom of the stairs for the first time. Both girls had biscuits for afternoon tea. It was nice to catch up with Bex and I haven’t seen Claire for a long time. Time to say bye to then and go and collect Jason. He showed me the teddy song. In the car he was talking to Kelsey tatata dadada and I said say love you Kelsey and he did it was so beautiful. Came home for dinner and new barney. Jason wanted Beach Barney but it went back this morning. He was a good boy and ate all his dinner. Bathed Kelsey and put her to bed then Jason followed no problem and climbed in his cot while the tickly monster tickled his feet and then gave him kisses on his tickle spot in his side. He went to sleep no trouble. Kelsey took a bit of convincing and I had to go back to see her. Tonight will be her first night alone in the room . We will see how it goes.

Ears for Music

19 March
Made some bunny ears and put whiskers on Jason for music this morning. Kelsey also enjoyed the ears. Had a fun Easter craft and made a basket to hold eggs and marshmallows which we got at the end of music. Went to the playground for a while. Home for a nap and in the afternoon Chisato came to visit. Jason liked talking to her. She stayed and helped me bath the kids and then we all went to the gate to say bye bye before heading off to bed. Jason took a book to bed with him tonight.

Sean and Kelsey

18 March
Dropped Jason off with Nanny Lynne and then came home as coffee group were coming over here today. Sean was so good with Kelsey. I did a tidy up and Kelsey went to bed just after 12.00. I had a Dr’s appt at 3pm and she had not woken I rang Dr’s to say will be late and at 3:15 I woke her up. Went to Dr’s then to work and had to get petrol on the way to fetch Jason so I was late picking him up today.

Kelsey and Kendal

17 March
Jason had fun at Jumping beans and Kelsey was well behaved. We then took a drive to Papakura to visit Kendal whose 1 and Oscar whose 4. They both had fun playing with the toys and other kids. Left there and stopped in at the Guide shop to drop of a flag. Kelsey did not fall asleep on the way home. Came home and put Jason in his cot for a nap. Took Kelsey out of the car and put her down for a nap. In the afternoon went to the Plaza. Did some work at work then went for an ice-cream. Kelsey got a balloon and just loved batting that around while Jason climbed on the ride ons eating his ice-cream. Then it was time to go. Had dinner then all had a bath. Jason did not want to get dried or dressed and certainly did not want to go to bed. He mucked around and KC was desperate for bed. I said Jason get in bed on the count of 3 or I will put you in bed. Wel he was stil not in bed on 3 so I put Kelsey on the big bed while I lifted Jason into his cot and Kelsey fell off the bed. So both kids crying, mum yelling and blood boiling. Left Jason and took Kelsey upstairs gave her Pamol for her head and put her to bed. Went back and gave JC a hug and said big sorry for yelling but he needs to be a big boy while daddy away. Kelsey woke up after half an hour and finally settled her back to sleep at 9:15pm.

First time in a Jolly Jumper

16 March
Both kids up at 6:15 this morning. Kelsey had toast for breakfast then played a bit before going to bed. She did not want to be put down and screamed and screamed. I left her for 5 min then went in and she was still screaming. I picked her up as she was beside herself and sweating. She was wriggling all over and still crying. I put her back down and left her for 10min. She was again screaming this time I gave her a feed and managed to calm her down and she went to sleep. Kelsey woke from her nap and we went to Chipmunks playland to meet Angie with Logan and Regan. Driving up Jason says, coffee group, found it. Jason was off and having fun so that was great. Kelsey had a turn in a jolly jumper and got the hang of it really quickly she loved it and going in the dolphin swing. So we had a good time at Chipmunks and mom had a bit of a breather. Came home an Jason didn’t want to go to bed but I made him and he slept for 2.5 hrs. Kelsey on the other hand was tired but again did her screaming. I lay down on the bed and fed her and we both fell asleep. Jason was a good this afternoon and we went outside to jump on the trampolingie. Kelsey had fun crawling on the grass eating leaves. Came in for dinner. Every time put Kelsey on the floor she screamed until I picked her up and then still cried a bit. Not sure what’s up. Gave her dinner which she was not to interested in but did eat some. I then made a bottle and she guzzled down almost 120mls. I think she has been hungry all day as after that she was much better. Both kids had a bath with me and Jason got out while I was dressing Kelsey so dried himself of by running around the house naked. Gave Kelsey another 70mls of formula and a breast feed and she went straight of to sleep no crying. While putting Jason to bed He said, hear Kelsey, and he was right, she was screaming again. Gave her pamol and got her back to sleep but only for half an hour then awake again. Finally settled her at 9:15pm.

Takapuna Beach

15 March
Took a drive to the north shore to pick up a trade me purchase and went to Takapuna beach. Kelsey had her first crawl in the sand and Jason just wanted to muscle in on some other kids building sand castle and playing. We found some shells and then drove back home. Kelsey had one of Jason’s savoury biscuits and just loved it. It was all over her top and soggy. Jason loved the bridge and the Big sky tower again. Poor guy is constipated and in quite a lot of pain he did not have a nap so when Kelsey had her nap I slept on the couch while Jason was playing. He was still having discomfort so I took the kids of to the Dr’s. Kelsey was very well behaved. Had to go to the pharmacy to get his script so went to Pakuranga plaza. Walked around the shops and Jason had a good play on the Thomas and Barney ride-ons. Did a bit of shopping and Kelsey was sitting in the trolley sucking on her toes. Came home and gave Jason his muti and he did a poo straight away. Then he lay on his bed and went fast asleep. I gave Kelsey supper then a bath and put her to bed while doing that Mr had woken. He had a bit to eat and watched Barney while he had his milk then he said Bed and took himself of downstairs to bed.

Canvas handprints

14 March
Woke kids up to go to airport. Jason was very excited. Said goodbye to gamma and Charlie and came home arriving around 4:45. Neither kid was asleep so we came in and watched Barney then Jason wanted to paint. “Painting mommy” so we did Kelsey’s and Jason’s hand prints on canvas. Then it was on to the play-doh and finally Kelsey was ready for bed. Went to playgroup at 9:30. Kelsey fell asleep in the car and had a kip in the pram for about 30 min. Near the end Jason had a big fall of a bike I didn’t see it as I was dealing with a crying Kelsey. Claire picked him up and carried him to me. He has a big bump on his head. Came home and JC straight to nap. Kelsey took a lot of convincing to sleep before she fell asleep then I slept on the couch until Kelsey woke me only a 1h nap from her. This afternoon Kelsey has been very clingy and grizzly again. She managed a feat though. She climbed up all the stairs from the bottom. Well done girl. Jason and I did some baking, we all had a bath then I put KC to bed she was so tired. While making JC milk she woke up and no amount of rocking crying or consoling was going to get her back to sleep so she came downstairs with me to put JC to bed. He was happy with this and wanted her to sit next to him on the bed while he had his milk. Finally at 8:15 I got her to sleep again. What a very tiring day.

Long afternoon

13 March
Dropped Jason off with Lynne. Came home to find out had Dentist appt at 12.00. Gamma and Charlie looked after her while I went to get my tooth fixed. In the afternoon I drove to the Grandparents house to fetch Charlie so their car stayed at the house in the garage while they are in S.A. Kelsey had a crawl around the place. Looking ever so cute. Stopped in at work and to do groceries and Charlie stayed in the car with Kelsey. Arrived at Lynne and Jason was standing under the sprinkler soaking wet. So changed him and found Charlie and Kelsey sitting on the grass outside by the car. She was now grizzly and wanted home for food. Jason says “check it out” and Kelsey crawls around our bathroom and pulls up on the toilet seat.

Music and Takapuna

12 March
Went to music. KC crawled right across the floor while we were singing. Jason made a macaroni and straw necklace later to be known as snacks on a rope or Jason’s pretty. In the afternoon took Kids and Grandparents over the Harbour Bridge to the North shore. Drove to Davenport and up Mt Victoria. Very windy. Had a McDee’s ice-cream cone on the way back home. Jason took his snacks on a rope with him to eat.

Hi 5

11 March
Kelsey very clinging. JC nanny Lynne – Plaza to work and shop. Home and asleep in car. Did accounts woke and just wanted mummy all day. She was up on the fridge and slipped hitting her head on the kitchen floor. She just wants to climb anything and loves to crawl over to you and pull up on your body. Got a bit of tiding done. Took her with to fetch Jason. Jason told NL Daddy on Plane to Aunty. Kelsey was given Carrots, kumara and pumpkin with a bit of sausage as finger food but not interested yet as I feel she’s still feeling a bit under the weather. Her right eye tooth has erupted.

Feeding Pukekos

10 March
Kelsey stayed with the folks while I took Jason to beans. Then we went to the Plaza for Easter buns. In the afternoon Gamma and I took the kids on a walk to feed the Pukekos. Kelsey was in her stroller watching us feed the birds. Jason stopped at the tennis courts on the way back to watch 4 ladies playing tennis. They gave him a ball and he said “thank you ladies”.

Took KC to Dr's

9 March
Took Kelsey to the Dr’s as she still has temp and is vomiting. He gave her some pamol and pedialite. Jason was very good at the Dr’s. Came home for a quite day. Jason is feeling better. No photo today, Naughty mommy.

First time on deck

8 March
Left Kelsey with folks while Jason came to the airport to say bye to Daddy. Kelsey is sick and slept most of day. She did venture out on to the deck this afternoon for the first time. Had temp of 38.3 in night.
